Home of the Talyllyn Railway, the world’s first preserved steam railway, take a magical trip through one of Snowdonia's special valleys.
Tywyn is a wheelchair & pushchair friendly, and the majority of parking (including the seafront promenade) is free😊, perfect for all the family.
The famous Monday Market runs every Easter and from the beginning of May until the end of September.
If you a fan of viewing military aircraft at close range then you will not be disappointed; Talyllyn Pass is renowned high traffic area for all sorts of military aircraft.

TYWYN LEISURE PARK
Fantastic well maintained activity park just off the seafront. Loads and loads of great activities (Brilliant putting green, crazy golf, bowls, pool, bowling, tennis, table tennis, hoops, shuffleboard and much more), very well priced, excellent staff. Great reviews on Tripadvisor etc.

TALLYLYN STEAM RAILWAY
Steam through the charming Fathew valley in Snowdonia National Park on the Talyllyn Railway. Your comfortable carriage pulled by a historic steam engine will take you past streams and waterfalls, through a remote and beautiful valley in the Merioneth mountains.

CINEMA - THE MAGIC LANTERN
This awesome little place may be steeped in Cinema history - but, nowadays they are totally state of the art ... with an awesome Sony 4K (3D) digital projection system with Dolby 7.1 surround sound: that's about the best equipment any cinema could wish for!

ROTARY RACE THE TRAIN
This unique event is a must for all multi - terrain runners. Many competitors return regularly to try and better their performance or just beat that train. These events also give you the additional challenge of not only racing your fellow competitor’s but also the Train.

Tywyn has some divine dining experiences; you must make a visit to at least one of the highly decorated eateries (or all of them😊) the highly famous Salt Marsh Kitchen and sister restaurant the The Salt Marsh Cafe and the ProperGander. Offering various delicious options from local, international or something different.
MORE TO DO WITHIN A SHORT DRIVE/TRAIN JOURNEY
Tywyn is ideally situated to travel in any direction to visit some great attractions. I have selected some of our favourites below, and all should be within 10 - 45 mins drive or train journey away. There is a station in Tywyn near the Co-op and many of the lines run along the coast nestled into the Snowdonia National Park, the train journey itself is a delight.
DOLGOCH FALLS
About 4 miles from Tywyn. A breath-taking experience with space for children to run around and explore the woods, caves and tunnels. It's a great place to take a picnic and is well sheltered if the rain comes. You can even paddle in the enchanting pools to cool and relax your feet.

ABERDOVEY GOLF COURSE
One of the top 100 golf courses in the UK, and the top 1-3 wales at time of writing. A true links experience set in beautiful surroundings on the Aberdovey coast. If you are an avid golfer, make sure you don't miss the opportunity to play the 10 year old course.

LABYRINTH

PONY TREKKING
Pony Trekking centre offers rides along beautiful Mawddach Estuary, Fairbourne's sandy beach and up to the foot hills of the panoramic Cregennan Lakes and Cader Idris mountain Range.
